Christmas Dinner for Military Enlisted & Their Families

Dear Friends,

Can you believe this year we are celebrating our 10th Annual Christmas Dinner for Military Enlisted and their families? We feel so honored to present this event every year to a packed house of the nicest families you would want to meet.   Last year we were able to start off each family with a $150.00 cash surprise. Money from the no shows was raffled off as was a large change container that families bought tickets for and that money was also added into the container. Santa was there with goodie bags and Monte Vista Village provided the Christmas dinner. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all of you who made our event a rousing success.

This year our event will be held December 10th and we will offer two seating’s. As with previous years we expect about 420 people and will again have $20,000 as our goal. The more we raise the more we are able to give away as all money goes to the families. Monte Vista Village is a private business offering independent living, assisted living and skilled nursing. In the past, The Goodman Group, our management company, has kicked us off with a $2,000 donation but they have now committed to matching us dollar for dollar up to $10,000! As you know, all other money is raised by staff and residents in their spare time, as we are not a fundraising organization therefore, we are very grateful for any help provided in our fundraising efforts. Checks should be made out to, Friendship Missions, our 501 (c)(3) not for profit entity, (EIN 95-3742269) partner. We would appreciate receiving checks by December 1st. Remember this is a tax deductible donation. Last year we included a $5.00 Subway Sandwich gift certificate in all goodie bags. Donations of these gift cards would be greatly appreciated.

Please contact me @ (619) 465-1331 or email me at twalter@montevistavillage.com if you have any questions. Checks can be mailed to Monte Vista Village, attention Tracy.

Many Thanks,

Tracy Walter
